Tangram Insurance Services offers Lawyers professional liability through certain underwriters at Lloyds. This comprehensive coverage is available for law firms ranging from one to fifty attorneys, and includes the following enhancements:
Pay on behalf of the Insured for Damages and Claims Expenses, which the Insured is legally obligated to pay arising from any act, error or omission on the part of the Insured in rendering or failing to render Professional Services to others as a lawyer, fiduciary or Notary Public.
The Underwriters shall have the right and duty to defend the Insured against allegations of a wrongful act even if the allegations are false, groundless or fraudulent.
The policy provides coverage for claims alleging false arrest, libel or slander, malicious prosecution and other Personal Injuries as defined in the policy form.
The policy allows coverage to be triggered by "a demand received by any Insured for money or services including the service of suit or institution of arbitration proceedings against the Insured".
The policy allows the Insured to select defense counsel contingent upon prior written approval by Underwriters.
