Riley Binford
Senior Vice President
Riley has overall responsibility for operations and underwriting of all Tangram property and casualty programs.

Riley has considerable experience in insurance management having served as Area Vice President for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJGCO.) In this capacity, Riley was in charge of Charity First, AJGCo's managing general underwriter specializing in insuring nonprofit organizations.

Under Riley's leadership, Charity First grew from primarily a West Coast based facility to a nationwide operation with four branch offices and over 30 employees. During his tenure, Riley worked extensively with the management and underwriting departments of Travelers, Great American, Gulf, Maryland Casualty, Aetna, Continental, HIH and Executive Risk.

After leaving Charity First, Riley became President of the California branch of Berkley Risk Administrators Company (BRAC), a subsidiary of W.R. Berkley Corporation. BRAC specializes in the creation and management of alternative risk mechanisms and first dollar insurance programs. BRAC California primarily acted as a managing general agent for its sister company, Riverport Insurance Company. As the designated MGA, BRAC was responsible for all underwriting, policy services, claims, reinsurance and form/rate filings.

In 1999, Riley founded ePointinsure, a program administrator focusing on alternative risk group programs. In 2003, ePointinsure was merged with Presidio Insurance Agency, a management liability MGA, to form Tangram Insurance Services.

Riley began his insurance career with the Aetna Casualty & Surety as a commercial underwriter in 1979 after receiving his B.B.A. in Accounting from Baylor University.
